Laser Capture
Sun Engineering provides high-resolution data capturing services using patented 3D imaging technology to cover all aspects of the project scope. Our services include the use of high quality 3D imaging cameras. By using the latest commercially available hardware, we are always on the cutting edge of 3D technology, allowing us to provide a service that is efficient, cost effective and high quality.  3D scanning has virtually replaced the traditional methods of manual field measurement and data collection associated with the design process.

Design Support
After the project area has been captured, the laser data is processed and imported into the 3D CAD software. This integrated laser model provides a rich 3D background for the designer to use during the design process. It eliminates uncertainties associated with the as-is condition in the field during the design phase. Bring the facility into your computer to visualize, measure, verify and see your new conceptual design before construction.

Sun Engineering provides field walk down services to verify and update drawings of the existing plant conditions for Operations, Maintenance, and Safety requirements. Some include:

Sun Engineering has provided as-built drawing services for new construction project closeout, regulatory requirements, operations and inspection.

Sun Engineering has provided field survey and updated record drawings for plant expansions, upgrades, replacements, modifications, etc. We can also provide 3D scanning if needed for plant modifications or documentation.
